Funding Circle Holdings PLC - London-based lending platform focused on small and medium enterprises - Completes the SBOLT 2026-1 securitisation, its tenth public securitisation of loans originated on the Funding Circle platform, which marks ten years of public market issuance. Says the loans are owned by Waterfall Asset Management, and that investors responded well to the transaction. SBOLT 2026-1 is also the first participation in a Funding Circle public securitisation by the British Business Bank, with which the firm "has a long-standing relationship". Funding Circle says that including the SBOLT 2026-1 transaction, it has now delivered approximately GBP2.5 billion in total securitised issuance since 2016, and supported lending to over 33,000 UK small businesses.
Chief Capital Officer Dipesh Mehta comments: "Ten SBOLT transactions is a significant milestone for Funding Circle...The success of this programme reflects the quality of our platform and the increasing maturity of the UK SME ABS asset class. The British Business Bank shows great support for UK SMEs and we're delighted to be working with the bank for the first time in this capacity, alongside other new and long-standing investors...The demand for this transaction as evidenced by the strong pricing achieved, especially in this market environment, underlines the confidence investors have in Funding Circle and the proven performance of our tech platform and robust credit assessment capabilities."
