Thu, 20th Jun 2019 11:59

(Alliance News) - Infrastructure services firm Fulcrum Utility Services Ltd said Thursday it hired Daren Harris as its new finance chief from next Monday.

Harris will replace current Chief Financial Officer Hazel Griffiths ahead of her leaving the firm following a handover period. Prior to Fulcrum, Harris served as finance chief at construction services Byrne Group following the same role at engineering services firm NG Bailey.

Griffiths - in post since 2015 - announced she intended to leave the firm in early May.

Fulcrum explained Harris came with "significant experience gained in various senior finance roles including those in the construction, mechanical and electrical engineering, defence and energy services sectors."

Fulcrum Chair Philip Holder explained he was "delighted" Harris was joining the firm, with his experience being a "great benefit to the business in the next stage of its development."

Shares in Fulcrum were 0.2% higher at 26.56 pence in London on Thursday.
