LONDON (Alliance News) - Forbidden Technologies PLC on Tuesday said it is changing its name to Blackbird PLC.
The company, develops, markets, and licences a cloud video platform using its Blackbird technology and shares will trade under its name from 0800 GMT on Wednesday this week.
"This is a logical step forwards for the company as we consolidate our commercial efforts behind the Blackbird platform. The collective noun for a group of blackbirds is a cloud. This is no accident. Our unique Blackbird codec and toolset is completely cloud-native. The Blackbird name is synonymous with speed and agility, and this is exactly what Blackbird provides for our customers," said Forbidden Tech Chief Executive Ian McDonough.
Shares in Forbidden closed up 0.2% at 6.14 pence on Tuesday.
