Standard Chartered PLC - Phil Rivett hired at independent non-executive director from May 6. Rivett was an executive at PricewaterhouseCoopers, including serving as chair of PwC's Global Financial Services Group. He currently is an independent non-executive director of lender Nationwide Building Society. Louis Cheung steps down as independent non-executive director on Wednesday next week after seven years.

Georgia Capital PLC - Maria Chatti-Gautier hired as independent non-executive director, effective immediately. Chatti-Gautier is a partner of private equity firm Trail Management and previously worked at Chase Manhattan Bank and Natixis.

British Land PLC - William Jackson to step down as non-executive director at the July 15 annual general meeting, having served for nine years. Preben Prebensen replace Jackson as senior independent director. Search for new independent non-executive director underway.

PowerHouse Energy Group PLC - Myles Kitcher hired as a non-executive director, effective immediately. Kitcher is executive director for Natural Resources & Energy at Peel L&P.

Anglo African Oil & Gas PLC - Dexter Ferreira and Tania Maciver hired as non-executive directors, effective immediately. Ferreira is director of mining consultancy Independent Resource Estimations. Maciver is chief operating officer at SP Angel Corporate Finance LLP.

Bushveld Minerals Ltd - Dolly Mokgatle hired as independent non-executive director. Mokgatle is chair of Total South Africa Pty Ltd and has held many executive roles with state-owned power utility Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd, including being apointed by Cyril Ramaphosa, now president of South Africa, to the advisory panel on the turnaround of Eskom.

Zotefoams PLC - Catherine Wall and Alison Fielding hired as non-executive directors, starting on May 14. Wall is a private equity veteran, primarily with Equistone Partners Europe. Fielding was an executive with IP Group PLC, including as chief operating officer. Angela Bromfield will step down as non-executive director at the same time.

Enquest PLC - Non-Executive Director Howard Paver promoted to senior independent director from March 31, replacing Helmut Langanger, who will retire after 10 years on board.
