(Sharecast News) - EVR Holdings on Tuesday partnered with the top-ranked American breakfast news programme, 'Good Morning America', to set up a live virtual reality broadcast of the programme's summer concert series.
Viewers with a VR device, smartphone or iPad with the MelodyVR app will be able to attend the first live performance of a new song from DJ Marshmello and country singer songwriter Kane Brown, who's most recent album topped the US Billboard 200 chart back in November.
Fans will be able to enjoy the show from multiple perspectives, with the technology allowing them to watch the performance up-close-and-personal on stage with the artists, from the front row or from the middle of the crowd.
The AIM traded company said the event will represent the first time live music has ever been globally viewable in person, on national television and in VR simultaneously.
Anthony Matchett, founder & chief executive of MelodyVR, said: "This partnership represents a huge milestone for music and entertainment - making live music accessible in person, on national television and in VR around the world, simultaneously. The MelodyVR experience is so much more than just watching live music, it's about participating in it, and feeling like you're really there; offering a life-like broadcast in which music lovers get the best seat in the house, regardless of their physical location."
EVR Holdings shares were up 3.33% at 1241 BST.
