LONDON, March 3 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline
refining margins rose sharply on Tuesday to above $3 as
transatlantic exports picked up.
* At least four cargoes of gasoline were provisionally
booked on
Tuesday out European ports to North America, according to
shipping data, and one was tentatively booked for delivery to
West Africa.
* China is to ramp up gasoline exports in March and April as
its
refiners rid themselves of excess stock in the world's largest
energy consumer after the coronavirus outbreak hit domestic fuel
sales.
* Total's 102,000 barrels-per day Grandpuits refinery near
Paris
shut down its crude distillation unit (CDU) and vacuum
distillation unit (VDU) on Tuesday, according to industry
monitor Genscape.
* OPEC and its allies will consider making substantial crude
production cuts to lift prices hit by the coronavirus outbreak,
Algeria's oil minister said, as ministers began arriving in
Vienna for talks this week.
* OPEC's proposal to cut oil production by up to 1 million
barrels
a day would be enough to balance the oil market and lift prices
to $60 a barrel, Leonid Fedun, vice-president of Russian oil
producer Lukoil, told Reuters.
