Energy Stocks Remain In The Red As Bearish Sentiment Persists

By Steve Gelsi Energy stocks were lower Tuesday, as bearish sentiment lingered from the previous session and shares of BP PLC (BP)dropped. The NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI) fell 0.9% to 966, while the NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG) dropped 1.3% to 533. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX) declined 1.2% to 180. BP shares lost 2.7% to $29.51.
