(Alliance News) - easyHotel PLC on Wednesday said Francois Bacchetta will commence in the role of chief executive officer with effect on March 30.
In January, the budget hotels operator said Bachetta would be replacing Guy Parsons who stepped down in November. Although easyHotel said he would start in spring, a definite start date was not disclosed.
Bachetta currently works as country director for France and Italy at low-cost airline group easyJet PLC.
He has "significant experience" operating in the European travel market including easyHotel's core growth countries in continental Europe, the company said, adding that he has a strong understanding of the "easy" brand and was responsible for the growth strategies for his region whilst bringing experience of managing online trading including digital marketing.
Prior to working at easyJet, Bacchetta held a number of senior marketing positions at global cosmetics group L'Oreal SA.
Shares in London-based easyHotel were untraded on Wednesday afternoon in London, last quoted at 85.00 pence each.
