Thu, 20th Oct 2011 10:39

Trading in the year to 30 September has been better than expected, the construction consultancy Driver said.Turnover was in line with expectations and stronger margins resulted in underlying profit before tax that was "slightly" ahead of management's expectations, the company said.According to Driver's website, its services bridge the gaps between construction, legal and financial sectors. It holds "breakfast seminars" for engineers, surveyors and commercial managers."We are pleased to have outperformed on all key financial metrics and, given the pipeline across all our business streams, believe that the business remains well positioned for growth in the next financial year and beyond," chairman Alan McClue said.Driver said its UK business continues to perform well, while the international business has been focused on selected markets in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.---RG
