Mon, 06th Jun 2016 10:43

LONDON (Alliance News) - Electra Private Equity PLC Monday said interim Chief Executive Officer Edward Bramson bought GBP175,014 worth of shares in the London-listed investment trust.

Bramson acquired 4,605 shares through investment vehicle Sherborne Investors at 3,801 pence each last Tuesday and Wednesday.

The purchase increases Bramson's shareholding to 11.4 million shares, or a 28.37% stake.

Bramson, who controls just over a quarter of Electra through Sherborne, won a place on the trust's board in November last year on his second attempt to win the backing of other shareholders.

Then in May, Bramson was named as unpaid interim chief executive officer of Electra.

The stock was up 0.8% at 3,847.00p Monday.
