Thu, 22nd May 2014 10:55

LONDON (Alliance News) - Digital Barriers PLC said Thursday that it has deployed its fully integrated Unattended Ground Sensor tool with a new African government customer to protect a high-profile government location.

The advanced surveillance technologies company which serves the security and defence sectors, said that the deployment is part of a larger sale, valued at GBP300,000. The new unnamed customer has also approved a procurement of two additional locations, expected to be valued at a further GBP1.2 million and to be delivered this financial year, said Digital Barriers.

The firm said it expects additional material sales into the country for its TVI video and RDC ground sensor solutions, which together comprise the group's Integrated Surveillance Platform, for the protection of sensitive border locations, military facilities and vulnerable oil pipelines.

Shares in Digital Barriers were trading marginally higher Thursday morning, up 0.63% at 111.7 pence per share.
