De La Rue Hires Co-op Insurance Interim CFO Rob Harding As CFO

Mon, 10th Feb 2020 15:00

(Alliance News) - Bank note printer De La Rue PLC on Monday said it has hired Rob Harding as interim financial officer, effective from March 9.

The appointment comes after the company in January announced the immediate resignation of former Chief Financial Officer Helen Willis. Willis stepped into the role in July 2018, after starting out on an interim basis in April 2018.

Harding was previously interim chief financial officer at Co-operative Group subsidiary Co-op Insurance.

He has a wealth of finance and turnaround experience with such experience including a number of senior finance roles in professional and financial services including at insurance companies such as Swinton Insurance and Aviva PLC, De La Rue said.

"We are delighted that Rob will be joining us. His depth of experience will be invaluable to us as we execute our plans and re-shape our business to meet both the short-term and long-term challenges we face as a company," said Chief Executive Clive Vacher.

The stock was trading 1.6% higher at 136.12 pence each on Monday afternoon in London.
