Wed, 07th Jul 2010 11:05

HONG KONG (Dow Jones)--Credit Suisse Group (CS) said Wednesday it hired Justin Crane, the former head of loan syndication for the Asia-Pacific region at Barclays Capital, as its head of loan syndication for Asia excluding Japan. Crane, who will continue to be based in Singapore, replaces Amit Khattar who left Barclays Capital in December to join Deutsche Bank AG. Crane starts his new post this week and reports to Ali Abbas Alam and Riddhi Shah, the co-heads of the emerging markets financing group for non-Japan Asia, as well as Chris Corson, the head of the emerging markets financing group for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and global head of emerging markets loan syndication. Crane, who has more than 15 years' banking experience, has been based in Asia since 1998, Credit Suisse said in an emailed statement. He will be responsible for the distribution of non-Japan Asia emerging-market loan products, as well as marketing global emerging markets loans in Asia. -By Ellen Sheng; Dow Jones Newswires; 852-2832-2336; ellen.sheng@dowjones.com (END) Dow Jones Newswires July 07, 2010 06:05 ET (10:05 GMT)
