Chesnara Hires Former Standard Life Aberdeen CFO Luke Savage As Chair

Fri, 14th Feb 2020 08:35

(Alliance News) - Chesnara PLC on Friday said it has hired Luke Savage as non-executive chair, effective immediately.

The pensions consolidator said Savage has taken over the role of chair from Peter Mason, who is retiring.

Savage is currently a non-executive director of broker Numis Corp PLC, law firm DWF Group PLC and insurance company Liverpool Victoria Financial Services Ltd.

He was previously chief financial officer at investment company Standard Life Aberdeen PLC from 2014 until 2017. Prior to that, he was director of finance & operations at insurance market Lloyd's of London for ten years.

"I am delighted that we have been able to recruit Luke as our next chair. His credentials in the insurance and risk markets are superlative and he will bring this level of expertise to bear on both Chesnara and the wider group, said Senior Independent Director Jane Dale.

"We are very grateful to Peter for all his hard work since being appointed to the board in March 2004 and as chair in January 2009. We wish him a long and happy retirement," she added.

Chesnara shares were trading down 1.0% at 331.75 pence each on Friday morning in London.
