BP Whiting refinery large CDU furnace went out Wed -sources

HOUSTON, Feb 13 (Reuters) - The furnace on the largest crudedistillation unit at BP Plc's 405,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) Whiting, Indiana, refinery went outand was quickly re-lit on Wednesday morning, said sourcesfamiliar with operations at the refinery.

The 260,000-bpd CDU remained in operation while the furnacewas being re-lit, the sources said.

The furnace outage led to a warning from Energy IndustryIntelligence Service that the unit had gone out of productionand was shut down by BP. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Jeffrey Benkoe)
