Boku migrates direct carrier billing service for Three UK

Tue, 29th Aug 2023 11:40

(Sharecast News) - Payments technology company Boku announced the successful completion of the migration of Microsoft's direct carrier billing (DCB) service for Three UK on Tuesday.

The AIM-traded firm said the move both expanded its portfolio in the UK, and also marked a first for both companies, being the migration of services from another provider.

It said its collaboration with Microsoft in the UK already encompassed three major carriers, with the addition of Three UK noteworthy as it represented the first time Boku and Microsoft had shifted services from another provider.

That, the board said, would set a precedent and open up possibilities for other global merchants to consider Boku for their payment solution needs, including the option of migrating services from existing providers.

"I am very pleased to report the migration of Microsoft DCB services," said chief business officer Mark Stannard.

"That one of the world's largest companies has decided to undertake a move from another provider to Boku as its provider of local payment solutions is another testament to Boku's strengths."

At 1102 BST, shares in Boku were up 0.36% at 139p.
