Bank of England to finalise ringfencing rules in H1, 2016

LONDON, May 27 (Reuters) - The Bank of England said it willfinalise new rules designed to protect bank's domestic retailcustomers from riskier parts of their operations in the firsthalf of next year.

The Bank of England said on Wednesday it had made a numberof amendments to its original proposals but didn't consider thatresponses to its initial proposals had necessitated majorchanges.

The British Bankers' Association, a lobby group for theindustry, had said in January it wanted the process speeded up.

The new rules are scheduled to take effect from the start of2019.
