Babcock Appoints Chemring Chair Carl-Peter Forster To Board

(Alliance News) - Defence engineer Babcock International Group PLC on Monday said it has appointed Chemring Group PLC Chair Carl-Peter Forster as a non-executive director.

Forster, who is also a senior independent director at IMI PLC, will join Babcock's board with effect from June 1 and will become senior independent director, when David Omand will step down from the role.

Babcock also said that John Davies, currently chief executive of Land Sector division, will step down as an executive director from April 30 to simplify the membership of the board. Davies will continue to lead the Land Sector as chief executive.

Shares in Babcock were down 0.9% at 395.00 pence each in London.
