Avingtrans, Hargreaves Services Chair Joins British Smaller Cos VCT2

LONDON (Alliance News) - British Smaller Cos VCT2 PLC on Wednesday announced the appointment of Hargreaves Services PLC and Avingtrans PLC Chair Roger McDowell to its board.

McDowell, whose appointment is immediate, is joining as a non-executive director.

"Roger has considerable experience as a chair and non-executive director of a wide range of technology, business services and manufacturing businesses," said British Smaller Cos.

"Following the flotation of his family's business and subsequent trade sale, he began his plural career in 2000, when he took board roles in three private equity backed technology businesses."

Shares were down 1.9% on Wednesday at 49.60 pence each.
