LONDON (Alliance News) - Atlantic Coal PLC shares were trading higher on Tuesday morning after the company said its clean coal production is set to rise in the first half of 2015, with coal sales also expected to be significantly higher.
Atlantic Coal said it expects clean coal production in the first half to the end of June to be around 91,000 tonnes, up from 83,303 tonnes a year earlier.
Total coal sales in the half are set to be around 103,000 tonnes, up from 75,761 tonnes a year earlier on the back a boost both from clean coal sales and run of mine coal sales.
The group's clean col stockpile at the end of the half is expected to be 32,000 tonnes, up from 10,934 tonnes at the end of the first half of 2014.
Shares in the company were up 21% on the news to 0.1389 pence, one of the best performers in the AIM All-Share.
