Ascent Resources confirms gas flow test on Thursday

(ShareCast News) - Ascent Resources noted the jump in its share price on Wednesday and confirmed that a well test is set to commence at the Pg-10 well, which is part of the Petišovci project in Slovenia, on Thursday.Ahead of the test, which is designed to last several days, gas is being flared to clean up the well.The well was first drilled back in 2011 and work is now kicking off to start the well up following a gas sales deal last year.Ascent said a full announcement will be made upon completion, which is expected next week.At 1143 GMT, the shares were up 27% to 2.25p.
