APC Tech partners with Gooee's internet of things lighting ecosystem

(ShareCast News) - Electronic component distributor APC Technology is to be the partner of Gooee's internet of things lighting ecosystem. The AIM listed company would be able to use Gooee's new lighting ecosystem to expand its services by providing value to customer lighting and internet of things solutions.The Gooee ecosystem provides sensing, control and communication components through a scalable framework that integrates with a cloud platform to connect lighting manufacturers to the internet of things.The ecosystem increases control, monitoring and data analysis capabilities while driving performance and efficiency improvements.Chief executive Richard Hodgson, said: "The Gooee system puts lighting at the heart of a building's internet of things, providing new opportunities to monitor LED performance, track footfall and communicate directly with occupants."We believe these factors will be of significant interest to many of our customers, in particular those in the retail, commercial property and industrial sectors, enabling them to operate more efficiently and effectively and ultimately deliver cost savings."Shares in APC Technology were down 1.49% to 8.25p at the close.
