AO World Non-Executive De Rojas Departs As Takes Role At FDM Group

Wed, 25th Sep 2019 09:13

(Alliance News) - AO World PLC on Wednesday said Non-Executive Director Jacqueline de Rojas has decided to step down with immediate effect.

The online household appliances and electricals retailer explained that de Rojas has in recent years dedicated her time to address the UK skills shortage in technology and has decided to re-balance her work portfolio to give greater time and focus to this issue.

Therefore, de Rojas has accepted a position as non-executive director at FDM Group Holdings PLC, a professional services provider with a focus on information technology. De Rojas is currently a non-executive director of infrastructure business Costain Group PLC and property search platform Rightmove PLC.

AO World said a selection process for an additional non-executive director has started.

Meanwhile, David Lister, FDM Group non-executive chair said: "We are delighted to welcome Jacqueline onto the FDM board. She is a highly-regarded leader in technology in the UK, with a strong reputation as a champion of women in the sector, and as an advocate for diversity and inclusion. We look forward to benefiting from her experience and insights."

AO World shares were trading 2.6% lower on Wednesday in London at 75.70 pence each, while FDM Group shares were untraded, last closing at 755.00p each.
