AMEC picked for BP onshore contract

BP has chosen AMEC to provide engineering and project management services (EPMS) for its onshore facilities developments around the world, two years after it handed it the deal for offshore projects.AMEC is one of two companies selected by oil giant BP for this long term agreement which runs for four years, but has an option to extend."This is a tremendous result for AMEC, succeeding against the best competition in the industry," said Ron Reeves, AMEC's president of business consulting and strategic account manager for BP."Our ambition to deliver the best engineering and project management services in a consistent way around the globe has been recognised and we are delighted."No financial details were disclosed.
