LONDON (Alliance News) - WPP PLC said Monday its wholly owned Chinese e-commerce company Kuvera has signed a deal with JD.com's mobile social commerce platform Paipai.
Under the deal Kuvera will become a qualified service provider on PaiPai's platform, and will assist it to recruit new brand merchants, WPP said. It will provide transaction services, storefront management, brand promotion and customer relationship management services.
"China's consumers are among the world's most engaged in the e-commerce, social networking and mobile spaces. This agreement provides WPP and our clients the ability to leverage Paipai and JD.com's platforms," said Chief Executive Martin Sorrell in a statement.
Shares in WPP are trading down 0.3% at 1,575.85 pence Monday morning.
