Windward partners with Maritech on maritime software platform

Tue, 11th Jan 2022 11:45

(Alliance News) - Windward Ltd on Tuesday said it has partnered with maritime software-as-a-service provider Maritech Services Ltd, as part of the 'Sea/' platform.

Windward, the Tel Aviv-based artificial intelligence software provider for the maritime industry, will integrate its AI platform into Maritech's Sea/ shipping services platform.

Windward shares were up 1.6% to 223.40 pence each on Tuesday morning in London.

Windward did not disclose financial details, but said Sea/ customers will contract directly with Windward to use their technology.

The integration will allow customers to view a vessel's risk score within the platform, thus "streamlining compliance and due diligence processes" in chartering negotiations.

Ami Daniel, Windward chief executive officer & co-founder, said: "The partnership widens the reach of our sanctions screening service into new areas of the shipping industry and we look forward to developing our global partner programme in 2022."
