Wilmcote Holdings PLC - acquisition vehicle - Posts pretax loss of GBP2.2 million for financial year to June 30, slimmed from GBP10.3 million the year before, in line with a fall in administrative expenses.
Wilmcote says its recapitalisation and the expansion of its investment policy during the year have "secured a platform from which to respond to opportunistic investment prospects".
"The directors continue to progress discussions with potential management and assess the optimal route to execute a platform acquisition in the current macroeconomic and capital market environment," the firm says.
