IN BRIEF: WANdisco Inks USD3 Million Contract With US Telecom Company

WANdisco PLC - Sheffield-based data-management software company - Wins USD3 million contract with an unnamed "major" US telecommunications companies to migrate one of its on-premises data lakes to Microsoft Azure. Majority of the contract value will be recognised in 2020. States the client also has over 30 petabytes of data that will be required to move to the cloud in the future.

"This is a landmark deal in our relationship with Microsoft Azure. This opportunity with one of the worlds' largest telecommunications companies is a fascinating case study for the power and uniqueness of our technology, with further migration potential in the coming years. The public availability of our LiveData Platform for Azure has continued to build a growing pipeline of promising opportunities," says WANdisco Chief Executive & Co-founder David Richards.

Current stock price: 470.00 pence

Year-to-date change: up 5.6%
