Universe Group Signs Deal With Conviviality Retail

Fri, 02nd Oct 2015 06:47

LONDON (Alliance News) - Universe Group PLC Friday said its subsidiary HTEC has signed a contract with off-licence and convenience store chain Conviviality Retail PLC.

Universe, which develops point-of-sale, payment and online loyalty systems, said that it expects to make approximately GBP4.3 million in revenue over the next three years under the contract with fellow AIM-listed Conviviality, which owns the Bargain Booze off-licence chain.

Universe will provide an integrated suite of HTEC's point-of-sale, back office, head office and payment systems across Conviviality's entire estate of over 650 stores. It expects implementation to begin no later than November.

"We are delighted to be working with such a market leading retailer as Conviviality. This is a significant contract win for us that highlights the group's progress in entering the convenience store and grocery sector and underlines the market confidence in our new, innovative product set," Chief Executive Jeremy Lewis said in a statement.
