Pharmaceutical company IS Pharma has raised £3.6m through a placing at 77p per placing share with Abingworth LLP. Abingworth is now IS Pharma's largest shareholder with a 13% stake.Tim Wright, chief executive of IS Pharma, said: "Abingworth has an excellent reputation as a strategic healthcare investor and we are delighted with their enthusiasm for investing in IS Pharma". Shares in TyraTech jumped 7.7% today as it received a significant reorder of co-branded product Terminix SafeShield from Terminix International, the largest professional pest control company in the world.Chairman Alan Reade said "the order is a step change in product volume sales for TyraTech and builds on the success of the product in the US residential and commercial pest control markets."Philippines-focused miner Medusa Mining is paying a 5 cents a share dividend on 8 November 2010 after its shareholders voted to change its constitution so that dividends can be paid out of cash flow rather than profit. Minco says that its 40%-owned associate Xtierra Inc has completed 29 holes in its drilling programme at the Bilbao project, Zacatecas, Mexico. The drilling suggests that the zinc and lead deposit extends to the South West and the North West. There is also an emerging zone of high grade silver. Allied Gold produced 18,000 ounces of gold from its Simberi gold mine in Papua New Guinea in September. Quarterly cash costs are running at $660/ounce. Allied has $64m in the bank as of 1 October 2010.
