Trinity Mirror Shareholders Back Name Change To Reach PLC

LONDON (Alliance News) - Newspaper publisher Trinity Mirror PLC on Thursday said shareholders overwhelmingly backed its name change to Reach PLC.

Voting at its annual general meeting, those shareholders who voted almost unanimously agreed with the change.

As a result, Trinity Mirror will change its name to Reach on Tuesday next week, trading under the ticker "RCH".

Earlier Thursday, the company reported a 9% drop in like-for-like revenue for the four months to April 29, with publishing revenue also down 9% and publishing print advertising revenue down 17%.

Shares were down 1.7% Thursday afternoon at 85.00 pence each.
