Toumaz's UNDOK Audio Platform Used In New Radio Range By ROBERTS

Thu, 01st Oct 2015 07:52

LONDON (Alliance News) - Toumaz Ltd Thursday said that consumer electronics company ROBERTS has launched a range of connected audio devices powered by Toumaz's Frontier Silicon UNDOK audio platform.

Toumaz, which supplies wireless semiconductor technologies for digital radio and healthcare, said that R-line by ROBERTS is a new premium audio range including devices across all key home audio categories such as wireless speakers, sound systems and a hybrid radio offering FM, DAB and internet radio. The devices can be used individually or as part of multi-room wireless streaming systems.

The range offers features including streaming across WiFi or Bluetooth, streaming the user's music collection, access to online music services like Spotify, and listening to internet, CD, DAB or FM radio, with the same or different music in each room.

UNDOK is a set of hardware modules, firmware, APIs and mobile apps which enable a multi-room experience for connected audio products.

The ROBERTS R-line range of products will be available in the UK and Europe from early 2016, Toumaz said.

"ROBERTS are renowned for their commitment to quality and sound in all aspects of their product range - whether traditional DAB radios or the latest generation connected audio products. We are delighted to continue our relationship - testimony to our ability to provide innovative, reliable and cost-effective solutions," said Prem Rajalingham, VP sales and marketing at Frontier Silicon.

Shares in Toumaz were untraded early Thursday, last quoted at 2.75 pence.
