EXECUTIVE CHANGE SUMMARY: Alfa Hires Former Balfour Beatty CFO Magrath

Mon, 23rd Mar 2020 15:40

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of company director and manager changes announced on Monday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Alfa Financial Software Holdings PLC - Hires Duncan Magrath as chief financial officer, joining the company on Monday and the board as CFO upon publication of the annual results. John Miller remains interim CFO until then, having served in the role for 11 months. Magrath was CFO at Balfour Beatty PLC, leaving in 2015.

----------

Aveva Group PLC - Emmanuel Babeau resigns as vice chair and as non-executive director from April 30. Babeau is deputy chief executive officer and CFO of Schneider Electric SA and is leaving Schneider at the same time. Following the combination of Aveva with Schneider's industrial software business in 2017, the French company has a majority 60% stake in Aveva and the right to make board appointments. Babeau will be replaced as an Aveva non-executive director by Oliver Blum, the head of strategy and M&A at Schneider, while Peter Herweck will become vice chair of the FTSE 100 company.

----------

Shoe Zone PLC - Charlie Caminada to step down as non-executive director immediately "to pursue his other business interests".

----------

Altitude Group PLC - Non-Executive Chairman Peter Hallett to step down immediately, after three years in the role, in favour of Keith Edelman. Hallett will remain on the board as an independent non-executive director. Altitude, which operates a marketplace for personalised products, had last Wednesday said it is unable to provide guidance for the current financial year, the 15 months to March 2021, due to the Covid-19 situation. On Monday, it said it has GBP2.5 million in cash. It expects cash plus receivables to exceed GBP5 million as at March 31. It said it has reduced marketing activities among other cost-saving measures, but is being careful not to compromise the long-term prospects of the business.

----------

Sportech PLC - Hires Ben Warn as non-executive director from June 1. Warn was chief executive of the gaming division of Perform Group and also worked for UKbetting and Sky Betting & Gaming.

----------

Iomart Group PLC - Hires Reece Donovan as chief operating officer from Monday next week. Donovan was CEO of Nomad Digital, which serves the transportation sector.

----------

Pershing Square Holdings Ltd - William Scott to retire as non-executive director at annual general meeting after eight years on the board "due to the increased demands of his other directorships".
