(Sharecast News) - PVCu manufacturer Safestyle has seen a significant increase in its contracted workforce since inking a commercial agreement with an individual involved in its dispute with NIAMAC Developments back in October.Safestyle told investors on Monday that the agreement had resulted in an improved sales order intake, bringing it in line with the same six week period a year earlier.However, as a result of the increased workforce, Safestyle has invested "more than budgeted" into lead generation, commissions and associated overheads."Whilst management anticipates that turnover for the last month of the year will be ahead of that previously forecast, the majority of the benefit of this recruitment and the return on this increased investment will only occur in 2019," it noted.Safestyle now expects to report an underlying loss of £8.2m to £8.6m due to the timing difference."The fact that management's three-phase turnaround plan is in its early stages against a backdrop of weaker consumer confidence, the board is confident that the recovery and performance in 2019 will be ahead of current market expectations," added Safestyle.As of 1230 GMT, Safestyle shares had climbed 4.91% to 85.50p.
