Ruspetro Share News (RPO)

Donald Wolcott, Chief Executive Officer of Ruspetro, the oil and gas producer, has acquired 502,947 shares taking his total holding in the company to 12.79m. The director bought the shares at 42.5p each, costing a total of £213,702. The group last month said that it is planning to restructure its debt arrangements and is currently holding discussions with Sberbank in the hope of extending its maturity. Speaking at the annual general meeting on April 17th, Wolcott said: "Although I am disappointed that we did not meet our year-end production target last year, we did achieve a great deal. We created a business that efficiently develops, produces and sells hydrocarbons."During the year, we increased the size of our team considerably in order to be able to gain the expertise and management capability necessary to triple our drilling programme, build-out the required infrastructure, increase our production and improve our understanding of the field.
