June CARBOB gasoline sold up 6 cents a gallon in the LosAngeles market at 6 cents a gallon over July RBOB gasolinefutures on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Royal Dutch Shell Plc told California pollutionregulators on Thursday that a major unit was shut on Wednesdayevening at the company's 156,400 barrel per day (bpd) refineryin Martinez, California.
San Francisco Bay market June CARBOB gasoline remained ateven with July NYMEX RBOB.
CARBOB gasoline is mandated by the California Air ResourcesBoard (CARB) for use in the state and meets more stringentanti-pollution standards than gasoline in most of the country asrequired by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. CARBOB ismade to blend with ethanol.
June EPA gasoline in Portland, Oregon market fell 5.5 centsa gallon to 16.5 cents a gallon over July NYMEX RBOB.
