Sept 14 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell on Tuesday
said it had shut in production at its Perdido platform in the
U.S. Gulf of Mexico the prior night, due to heavy winds from
Hurricane Nicholas, and that it would not be able to restart
output until a non-Shell facility downstream restored power.
The company said it had no plans to return staff to the
facility on Tuesday due to current weather conditions. It also
said there was currently no timetable for when the downstream
facility would resume power.
