NEW YORK, March 30 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell has delayed a planned shutdown of one of two crude units at its70,000-barrel-per-day refinery in Sarnia, Ontario, from Apriluntil September, according to a person familiar with the plant'soperations.
The 35,000-bpd crude unit was scheduled to be shut down for45 days starting in April to replace the desalter, which removessalt from crude oil, the person said. The work will now begin onSept. 1, the person said.
A company spokesman could not immediately be reached forcomment.
