KHOBAR, Sept 11 (Reuters) - The Saudi Aramco Shell RefineryCompany (SASREF) will shut one of two crude distillation units(CDUs) at its Jubail refinery for a three-week maintenance inthe fourth quarter, its president Abdullah Al-Baiz said onWednesday.
He did not elaborate in which period of the fourth-quarterthe maintenance would take place nor the capacity of the CDUheading for the turnaround.
SASREF is a joint-venture between Saudi Aramco and RoyalDutch Shell. It operates a 305,000 barrels per day (bpd) plant.
The maintenance will likely help tighten Asia's naphthasupplies, traders said, as Saudi Aramco exports around 125,000tonnes of naphtha from Jubail, most of which is tied up incontracts.
This will coincide with lower European and Mediterraneannaphtha arriving in November in Asia as recent weak prices and asupply glut had choked off western supplies. (Reporting by Reem Shamseddine; Writing by Seng Li Peng;Editing by Sunil Nair)
