(Alliance News) - OnTheMarket PLC on Thursday said its website traffic reached new record levels in January, declaring the performance proof of the effectiveness of its growth strategy.
The property portal said that the number of visits to its portal stood at over 30 million, reflecting a 28% increase compared with the 23.5 million recorded for the same period in 2019.
Aldershot-based OnTheMarket said that as of January 31, it recorded a 52% increase in the total number of phone and email leads in comparison with the year prior. Average leads per advertiser rose to 126 from 93, reflecting growth of 35% year-on-year. It also said that user engagement had increased, adding that it had sent over 140 million instant property alerts over the course of the month.
"Our performance provides further evidence that our growth strategy is working and engagement is building amongst both property-seekers and agents. Our brand proposition and our multi-channel marketing investment have proven effective in attracting active property-seekers to the portal. Many of our agent shareholders and customers are choosing to list their properties on a 'New & exclusive' basis, 24 hours or more before Rightmove or Zoopla," said Chief Executive Ian Springett.
The stock was trading 2.5% higher at 82.00 pence each on Thursday afternoon in London
