OptiBiotix Health PLC - York-based life sciences company - Intends to hire UK Member Of Parliament Stephen Hammond as a non-executive director. Hammond has been an MP since 2005 and from 2018 to 2019 was Minister of State for the Department of Health and Social Care. OptiBiotix notes that before entering into politics, Hammond had a successful career in finance at a leading fund management house and at a number of major European investment banks. Company adds he was a director of the Equities division of private bank Dresdner Kleinwort Benson from 1994 to 1998.
"Stephen's international understanding of healthcare, finance and experience of working in senior positions within finance and government complements the current board's wealth of experience," says OptiBiotix Chair Neil Davidson.
