(Alliance News) - Headlam Group PLC on Monday named Adam Phillips as its new chief financial officer, joining by April 2023 "at the latest".
In March, the Birmingham-based floor coverings distributor confirmed former CFO Chris Payne as permanent chief executive. Since then, the company has been looking for its new CFO.
Phillips is currently group financial controller at National Express Group PLC, the FTSE 250 transport provider.
Prior to this, he was corporate finance director and group strategy director at Worcestershire-based motor and cycling products retailer Halfords Group PLC.
Non-Executive Chair Keith Edelman said: "We are delighted to welcome Adam to Headlam. He has strong public company experience at larger, and also multi-site and consumer focused businesses, and broad expertise across all finance functions and performance management."
Shares in Headlam were down 0.5% to 286.60 pence each in London on Monday afternoon.
