LONDON (Alliance News) - Water treatment company Modern Water PLC said Non-Executive Director Piers Clark purchased 227,272 shares at a price of 9.50 pence per share on Tuesday.
The GBP21,591 deal represents Clark's entire 0.2% stake in Modern Water.
It was also disclosed that some senior executives including Chief Executive Simon Humphrey and Finance Director Stephen Heaps subscribed for basic entitlement shares in the company's open offer.
The open offer, which was announced earlier this month, is intended to raise GBP900,000. Qualifying shareholders are entitled to 1 open offer share for every 10 shares held, and can apply for additional shares.
"I am pleased to see our open offer has been supported by all of the company's senior management team that were able to participate," said CEO Humphrey.
Shares in Modern Water were down 3.8% at 8.80 pence on Wednesday afternoon.
