LONDON (Alliance News) - Modern Water PLC said Wednesday it has received a purchase order to supply an all-membrane brine concentration plant to a producer of crop protection products and other industrial chemicals.
Modern Water said the unnamed client is a "substantial" international chemicals company and the sale follows a trial at the client's site in India. The plant will treat the "technically challenging" waste water produced by the client.
"We are proud that a worldwide chemicals giant has decided to use our AMBC technology. Together with our partners at Advent in India, we look forward to delivering a plant that will help the client treat challenging waste water in a cost-effective and energy-efficient way," said Chief Executive Simon Humphrey.
Shares in Modern Water were up 9.5% Wednesday afternoon at 6.79 pence each.
