LONDON (Alliance News) - Motive Television PLC Monday said it plans to make its TabletTV product available on Apple Inc's recently announced new Apple TV platform.
Shares in the company were up 32% at 0.270 pence Monday morning. TabletTV allows users to watch and record free-over-the air television via a device without a contract or subscription. Motive Television is a registered Apple developer.
"Apple has stated that it believes the future of TV is through Apps. As the creator of the leading App making the complete television experience including over-the-air, internet television, and video on demand available to viewers on their mobile devices it is a natural extension to make TabletTV available on the big screens. With Motive's experience in developing the TabletTV Apps for iPads and other devices over the past two years, we are well positioned to become a leading developer on this new platform," said Chief Executive Officer Leonard Fertig in a statement.
