Gregory Durant is vice chair of accountants Deloitte LLP. Derek Kirkland is former managing director & co-head of the Global Financial Institutions Group at Morgan Stanley's Financial Institutions Group in Investment Banking. Martin Lippert is former head of global technology & operations at insurer MetLife Inc. Russell Noles is former chief operating officer of Nuveen, a subsidiary of Teachers Insurance & Annuity Association. Prudential said two more independent board members will named at or following completion of the demerger, which it continues to expect to happen within the current quarter.

----------

Burford Capital Ltd - London-based litigation finance - Hires Kenneth Brause as chief financial officer, starting on Monday and based at Burford's New York office. Brause replaces Jim Kilman, who has served since August 2019. Prior to becoming CFO, Kilman was senior advisor to Burford and will return to the role after a three-month handover. Brause was CFO of OnDeck Capital, a New York-listed specialty lender.

----------

Maureen O'Connell and Isaac Kohlberg are appointed as non-executive directors representing largest shareholder Acacia Research Corp, so are considered not independent. Back in March, 19% shareholder Acacia Research sent a letter calling for a shake up of the Arix executive team due to "history of governance instability". Trevor Jones won't seek re-election to the board at the AGM, which will be held by the end of June, and Axel Wieandt and James Noble will no longer be joining the board, Arix says. "Arix has had a busy year and made significant progress. We thank Naseem for his contribution having stepped in part-time to lead the business in the absence of both chairman and chief executive last year," Moncreiffe says. Adds Acacia Research CEO Clifford Press: "Since becoming a shareholder in Arix at the end of last year, we have sought to bring about a series of corporate governance improvements and ensure that the company is served by a board that is responsive to its shareholders."

Hudson has worked for Bentley Motors, Rolls Royce Aerospace - part of Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC - and, most recently, Williams Advanced Engineering.
