SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Henderson High tracks blue-chips lower

Wed, 16th Feb 2022 10:47

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Wednesday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Lamprell PLC, up 3.1% at 31.95p, 12-month range 30.00p-88.46p. Shares in the oil field service provider are recovering from recent weakness. The stock had fallen 5.8% on Monday as equities were heavily sold off amid Russia-Ukraine conflict fears. Investor sentiment has improved since, though Lamprell shares are still down 1.1% so far this week.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

John Menzies PLC, down 2.7% at 464.00p, 12-month range 202.50p-492.00p. The stock, up 62% so far in February amid takeover interest, surrenders some gains on Wednesday. Agility Public Warehouse earlier in February made a 510p per share offer for the company. John Menzies has rejected this bid.

----------

Henderson High Income Trust PLC, down 2.1% at 176.00p, 12-month range 148.50p-190.00p. The trust tracks falls suffered by some of its largest investments. British American Tobacco PLC shares are down 1.0%, Unilever PLC is 0.5% lower, while Diageo PLC is down 1.2%. As of the end of January, BAT represents 4.3% of Henderson High Income's portfolio, Unilever 3.2% and Diageo 3.1%.
