AB Foods Hires Dame Heather Rabbatts As Non-Executive Director

(Alliance News) - FTSE 100 food processing and retailing company Associated British Foods PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed Dame Heather Rabbatts to its board as a non-executive director.

Rabbatts is currently a non-executive director at Kier group PLC, where she chairs the Remuneration Committee. She has held various "executive and non-executive roles including in local government, infrastructure, media and sports" including being the first woman on the board of the Football Association.

At present, she chairs Soho Theatre and marketing company Four Communications while continuing to work in film and sports.

Shares in AB Foods closed 1.8% lower at 2,307.00 pence in London on Tuesday.
