British Airways has perked up after the Court of Appeal said that hundreds of air cargo customers could not come together to sue the airline. They wanted to join together in order to pursue a class action law suit relating to BA's involvement in a price-fixing cartel. Last week, BA was fined €104m by the EU after an investigation into the cartel. BA had already paid $300m in US fines. Brewer SABMiller traded strongly in all regions except Europe. Pre-tax profits climbed to $1.69bn (£1.06bn) in the six months to September 2010 against $1.5bn over the same period the previous year as revenues rose from $8.84bn to $9.43bn.Business process outsourcing company Capita heads the fallers after it warned revenue growth in the second half of 2010 has been subdued due to the pressures on public spending.Quality and safety services provider Intertek has run into profit taking after it said market conditions are strengthening across many parts of its business in the second half.
