IronRidge Reports Gold Soil Anomalies At Cote d'Ivoire Project

Fri, 31st Jan 2020 06:59

(Alliance News) - IronRidge Resources Ltd on Thursday reported multiple large-scale gold soil anomalies of up to four kilometres long at the Zaranou gold project in Cote d'Ivoire, extending the gold target corridor by over 47 kilometres.

The Africa-focused minerals exploration company said assay results have defined multiple soil anomalies at broadly over 50 parts per billion gold levels with results up to 10.35 grammes per tonne of gold.

Soil anomalies are defined adjacent and along strike from a 16 kilometre zone of hard rock artisanal mining and are coincident with a major geophysical contact defined in a recent aeromagnetic geophysical survey, the company added.

IronRidge has commenced an infill soil sampling to 400 metre line spacing along the entire soil grid. The company plans to undertake follow-up exploration and drill programmes once all assay results for Zaranou project are received and reviewed.

Shares in IronRidge closed at 11.45 pence each on Thursday in London, down 1.5%.
